I just got approved for like 10 books at once but Sourcebooks! O.o
So March was not a fantastic reading month for me. Highlight is I started to really like audio! Low point is that I barely read compared to what I’m usually like. Too many long fantasy books.
Best books of the month:
I also did a lot of re-reads so I can catch up on my favorite series.
Lows of the month
This was just generally a horrible way for the series to end for me. I invested 15+ years in this series! 😡
So April I have both a small goal and a maximum goal of books.
My minimum goal is 8 books. 4 audio and 4 physical. Preferably ARCS.
My maximum goal is 60. 30 audio and 30 physical. Mostly ARCS.
I have gotten quite a few audios since my last post. I will post some of the newer ones here.
I have almost all the now.
I also have all the in including
and
I am also going to try my first adult audio! . I tried to find one I had read before that wasn’t too sexy. Didn’t know if I would like to listen to sex scenes.
I also completed buying
and the first book of the spin off
I also have the series
Also the series
and finally the series.
I have a few pre orders as well
I am doing a challenge with some friends Goodreads. We are all going to try to listen to as much audio as possible to see if it increases how much we are able to read. Right now I average 8-12 books a month. I’m hoping to increase that to 15 or maybe even 20!
Plus with a puppy coming audio will be a lot easier while taking care of her!
We don’t really have any rules. I guess just listen to audio? lol.
The books I’m hoping to read I’ll post soon. I have a lot. lol.
This post seems to be missing a lot. I’ll have to jazz it up later. 😛
So as I have stated in my previous post I am on a bit of an audio binge. So I have bought the entire Harry Potter series as well as the first two books from Leigh Bardugo’s Grishaverse and short audio called Dawn of Eden from Julie Kagawa.
Now on to the wishlist. There are quite a few. So maybe I should do another post? lol. No I’m too lazy. 😝
There’s more but I’ll stop here. Sorry for the bit of a dump. lol. Let me know how I can improve my formatting. ^-^
Lately, I have ❤❤❤❤❤❤ audiobooks. I have a normal subscription to audible and have now finished two books.
Both were fantastic and they were also the first YA audiobooks I have ever completed.
I’m already on the third book and have wishlisted a ton of audios. I will do a full wishlist audio post soon. ^-^
One of those places is Bennett, a town at the northern end of the Elder Hills—a town surrounded by the wild country. Now efforts are being made to resettle Bennett as a community where humans and Others live and work together. A young female police officer has been hired as the deputy to a Wolfgard sheriff. A deadly type of Other wants to run a human-style saloon. And a couple with four foster children—one of whom is a blood prophet—hope to find acceptance.
But as they reopen the stores and the professional offices and start to make lives for themselves, the town of Bennett attracts the attention of other humans looking for profit. And the arrival of the Blackstone Clan, outlaws and gamblers all, will uncover secrets…or bury them.
This was amazing!!!!!!!!!! 4.5-4.9
I still prefer Meg and Simons ARC but this will now be my second favorite! Much better than Lake Silence!
I truly will continue to be baffled by how stupid humans are?!? Like really? How can you think you can take on the shifters and the sanguinati and the elders and elementals? So stupid 🤦🏻♀️
This book was a little confusing at times as there were a lot of POV changes. It was third person but there were a lot of MC’s to keep track of.
Things I liked.
The blended family. The two men and the blood prophet and the orphaned shifters.
Jesse and Toyla
Tobias and Jana
Barb
Virgil and Kane
Mel the Horse
The harvester Scythe
So again I didn’t do well. I think I only read one ARC? 🤦♀️
I’m going to really try again in March. But who knows. I’m in two constrictive challenges so it will depend on what I can read.
Netgalley is still my biggest clog. I REALLY need to start reading some of their books.
Here is my goal for next month.
It’s a lot but I have faith in myself! 🙂
That’s right folks I got
*squeals*
I was hoping I would get it since I got Ace of Shades from them last time. Wish me luck in reading it! 🙂
First I need to apologize to both Edelweiss and Sourcebook Fire for this late review. Life has been a bit hectic. I will strive to do better in the future.

Four walls. One window. No way to escape.
Hannah knows there’s been a mistake, She doesn’t need to be institutionalized. What happened to her roommate at that summer program was an accident. As soon as the doctor and judge figure out that she isn’t a danger to herself or others, she can go home to start her senior year. Those college applications aren’t going to write themselves. Until then, she’s determined to win over the staff and earn some privileges so she doesn’t lose her mind to boredom.
Then Lucy arrives. Lucy has her own baggage, and she’s the perfect project to keep Hannah’s focus off all she is missing at home. But Lucy may be the one person who can get Hannah to confront the secrets she’s avoiding-and the dangerous games that landed her in confinement in the first place.
I would like to thank Edelweiss and Sourcebooks Fire for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
4.5-49. stars.
This book was amazing! I am obviously feeling stingy this year as really this should be a 5 star but for some reason, I can’t click that last star.
I really loved this story. Hannah was, for the most part, a very relatable character. She had me guessing from the beginning what was happening and eventually what was wrong with her.
I felt so bad for Hannah. Her parents are obviously not good parents. Probably a lot of people would see them as good parents because they took care of her financially but obviously, they lacked in a lot of other areas. 😦
I wasn’t keen on the doctor at first. ‘Lightfoot’. She seemed uninterested and not caring. But she grew on me.
