🗡 🗡 🗡

Jude: A character who would probably kill you in your sleep.
*Since I’ve been reading the Anita Blake,Vampire Hunter (series) by Laurell K. Hamilton lately I’m going to say either Raina or Gabriel. *

Cardan: A character who seems like a Bad Guy™ but is ultimately more complex than you thought.
The only character that comes to mind is Nova from Renegades by Marissa Meyer

Locke: A character (or plot twist) that made you want to throw the book.
I think the only one I can think of is The Cerulean by Amy Ewing? IDK. It’s been a pretty quiet reading year for me.

Taryn: A character who deceived you.
Kaname from Vampire Knight by Matsuri Hino

Vivi: A book that was significantly different from the others in its series.
Lake Silence by Anne Bishop. I know it’s technically a different series anyway but it was a lot more mystery and thriller than the other books in the same world.

Valerian: A character who just needs to die (or, you know, stabbed).
Again Raina or Gabriel work well for me right now.

Oak: A smol™ character you would protect at all costs.
Definitely Nathaniel from the Anita Blake Series. Sorry I have that book on my mind. lol. Doing a re-read.

The Cruel Prince: A book that surprised you with a twist.

Outside
The Proof of the Outside follows the story of Ele, who is held captive in a small room by a man known as ‘Him’. Ele is determined to prove there is a world Outside. And when she finds a hole in the wall, the proof starts leaking in. In this dark and compelling debut novel, Ele’s strong and heartbreakingly optimistic voice shines through, revealing an important lesson about the power of stories to save lives.

The Wicked King: A book you thought was better (or worse) than the first in the series.

The Lost Sisters
Sometimes the difference between a love story and a horror story is where the ending comes . . .
While Jude fought for power in the Court of Elfhame against the cruel Prince Cardan, her sister Taryn began to fall in love with the trickster, Locke.Half-apology and half-explanation, it turns out that Taryn has some secrets of her own to reveal. The Lost Sisters is a companion e-novella to the New York Times bestselling novel The Cruel Prince by master writer Holly Black.

The Queen of Nothing: A book you’re excited for, but know nothing about.

The Girl the Sea Gave Back
An epic standalone novel set in the brutally stunning, viking inspired world that Adrienne Young crafted in her first novel, Sky In The Deep
