Weird thing just happened

I was declined for an ARC of a book on Edelweiss. I’m always sad when that happens but it was something I’m familiar with at least…. I’m sure many of your review bloggers are as well. But now I just got an email from them saying I was accepted? What?! How did this happen? Why deny me then accept me? Was it an error? Was it a change of mind. What do you guys think?

Here is the notifications thing btw. Just in case none of you believe me. lol.

Really weird but so happy.

Shadow Pact

Shadow Pact

by

Tally Adams (Goodreads Author)
Emily’s sister disappeared without a trace. When authorities refused to search for her, Emily was forced to accept that she was on her own if she ever wanted to learn the truth. That’s how she ended up stumbling into a den of werewolves under the full moon. But even in the darkness of this terrifying new world, hope can come in unexpected forms. For Emily, it came as the most feared among all immortals: the Executioner himself. Now, he’s all that stands between her and being someone’s next meal. But his protection has a price…
Oh and this is not the pretty cover I was attracted too! 😦
Sadly that one was not on Goodreads and I don’t know if Edelweiss would like me to copy it. Hope it goes up on Goodreads soon. It’s pretty. 🙂

Storm and Fury (The Harbinger, #1)

Storm and Fury

(The Harbinger #1)

by

Jennifer L. Armentrout (Goodreads Author)

From the #1 New York Times, USA TODAY and internationally bestselling author of the fantastical Dark Elements and the Lux series comes a new novel set in a world of gargoyle protectors, rising demons and one girl with an explosive secret.

Eighteen-year-old Trinity Marrow may be going blind, but she can see and communicate with ghosts and spirits. Her unique gift is part of a secret so dangerous that she’s been in hiding for years in an isolated compound fiercely guarded by Wardens—gargoyle shape-shifters who protect humankind from demons. If the demons discover the truth about Trinity, they’ll devour her, flesh and bone, to enhance their own powers.

When Wardens from another clan arrive with disturbing reports that something out there is killing both demons and Wardens, Trinity’s safe world implodes. Not the least because one of the outsiders is the most annoying and fascinating person she’s ever met. Zayne has secrets of his own that will upend her world yet again—but working together becomes imperative once demons breach the compound and Trinity’s secret comes to light. To save her family and maybe the world, she’ll have to put her trust in Zayne. But all bets are off as a supernatural war is unleashed…

I got it from Netgalley. Look for my review soon!

Cardan: A character who seems like a Bad Guy™ but is ultimately more complex than you thought.

The only character that comes to mind is Nova from Renegades by Marissa Meyer

Locke: A character (or plot twist) that made you want to throw the book.

I think the only one I can think of is The Cerulean by Amy Ewing? IDK. It’s been a pretty quiet reading year for me.

Lake Silence (The world of the Others #1; The Others #6)

State of the ARC January 2019 and a look ahead into February 2019

So I have already kind of covered my February 2019 ARCs but I didn’t do it properly and neglected to mention anything about January. So here it is.

I did badly. I only got 2 arcs done total and I needed to get like 15 done.

Here is the pie chart thing:

meta-chart

As you can see more than half my pie is to read total. Another large chunk is Netgalley to Read and the other one is Edelweiss to read. No large portion for read. 😦

For Feb. I have many more ARCS that are due. Let’s see how I’ll do next month. Wish me luck!

I decided to start a writing blog post.

So after debating about it for a while and wondering how to go about it. I have started a writing blog. I have no clue how wordpress works so I don’t know if you guys can see it or if I should post a link to it for those of you interested. So in the meantime I am just letting you know it’s there. I will add a link below if anyone is interested.

It’s mostly older stories from like 10 years ago for now. I have a lot I never finished so I just posted some short stories I did finish. I’m working on a novel right now. Or maybe a short story. Haven’ decided. But it will be my latest and hopefully first in a long time that is finished. 🙂

Wish me luck!

*** I might be having issues with either the site or the blog so I’m not sure if the link will work 100%. Let me know if it doesn’t.

Thinking of names for my puppy.

So today I was inspired and came up with some names for my puppy. I will of course have to see the puppy first and find out it’s personality but so far I have:

  1. Ruby
  2. Rose
  3. Rowan.

I’m keen on R names right now.

Ruby is at the top cause I like a bit of ‘irony’ (is that the right word) as I might be getting the ‘ruby’ breed. Let me see if I can find a pic.

Promised Photos of Spain

I finally got far enough and had time to take some pics. I’m not an amazing or even good photographer so they aren’t amazing photos. But I hope you enjoy. I also have two videos that I will try to figure out how to upload. ^-^

This is one of the mountains near us. I don’t know the name sorry. Also sorry about the trash cans and the power lines. I was still pretty far from the mountain so I couldn’t not get them. :/
